About Yackt Decking


Yacht Decking A/S, established in 2000, is a company relying on personal customer care and quality.
Innumerous teak decks have been delivered to yachts both nationally and internationally.
We take pride in delivering high quality and long-lasting wooden decks to satisfied customers in a professional and friendly way.


Our production workshop is set in idyllic Grimstad, midway between Arendal and Kristiansand, on the southern coast of Norway. This is where we produce our decks before shipment to various parts of Norway as well as horizons far beyond the Norwegian skies.

Some of our customers include Hydrolift, Cranchi, Nimbus, Fairline, Windy, White Shark, Yamarin, Targa, Princess, Carver and Meridian.

We take pride in making long-lasting, quality wooden decks by using craftmanship alongside computerized precision. Quarter-cut wood, supreme deck chalk and application procedure, an optimal gluing process and fiberglass backing are some of the ingredients used to ensure quality and easy installment.

Environment-friendly wood
During the past years, Yacht Decking has been researching the capacities. Product research of different types of wood abundantly found in the Nordic region. Our aim is to provide an alternative – like teak – that will beautify your boat with-out damaging the rainforest. These wood types have been exposed to harsh weather conditions showing different and interesting results over time.

Production Effectivity
Morten Ottestad, Torstein Wroldsen and Roy Werner Folgerø of Agder University College (AUC) are responsible for our collaboration with students from AUC in Grimstad. The past few years, students, with help from Ottestad, Folgerø and Wroldsen, have calculated and designed advanced computer-controlled machines that will significantly increase our production capacity. The students from Mechatronics have shown great knowledge, creativity and eagerness, and we are truly grateful for this fine collaboration.
